Jim Hirst, Managing Partner & Co-Founder
Jim manages both the day to day operations and fixed income portfolios for Moores Creek Capital Partners. Jim brings over 20 years of asset management experience and has served in a variety of roles including US government bond trader and international fixed income portfolio manager. Jim has effectively managed bond portfolios for international private banks and high net worth clients since 1988
Prior to Moores Creek, Jim worked in New York City with Hornblower Wealth Management Group. Jim worked specifically with institutional clients worldwide providing trading and portfolio management in 66 international markets. In that role, Jim has experienced an 18 year run that has endeared him to his clients both home and abroad.
Jim's strength lies in currency swings and varying interest rate environments. His modeling and research has uncovered fixed income and equity opportunities that have made him invaluable to our firm.
Jim holds a degree in Economics from Fairfield University in Southern Connecticut. He is married with one daughter. Jim enjoys ice hockey, spending time with family, travel and golf.

Rich Murray, Managing Partner & Co-Founder
Rich is responsible for the equity portfolio management of Moores Creek Capital Partners. Rich brings 13 years of asset management experience and has served in a variety of roles including trading, portfolio management, and institutional sales
Previous to Moores Creek, Rich worked with renowned Hedge fund and Mutual fund manager and one time Minnesota Vikings owner, James Jundt. Rich has worked with professional athletes and their charitable foundations and college endowments. In that role, he educated and signed a number of top institutional clients understanding the need to control volatility risk.
Rich's passion lies in a grass roots campaign to bring institutional quality services to individual investors throughout the US. He tracks revenue growth and company fundamentals, as well as developing thematic and demographic trends in his effort to discover tomorrow's genius today.
Rich holds a degree in Finance from Kansas State University. He is married with two children. Rich enjoys golf, college sports, travel and ... GOLF!
